Installation

Quick Install (install.sh)

The included install.sh automates everything — uv setup, Python 3.12 venv, package install, mcporter config, and OpenClaw skill registration:

# Clone the repository on your server

cd yfinance-mcp-server

# Run the installer
chmod +x install.sh
./install.sh

The installer will:

1. ✅ Check for pyproject.toml in the project directory
2. ✅ Install uv if not already present
3. ✅ Create a Python 3.12 virtual environment
4. ✅ Install yfinance-mcp-server + all dependencies
5. ✅ Verify all 12 tools load correctly
6. ✅ Add yfinance to your mcporter config (auto-detected)
7. ✅ Install SKILL.md to OpenClaw skills directory
